Others have noted the same that we noticed - sites are close and some a difficult to get in, however we found the staff accommodating when we called before coming. We were here on a cold and drizzly mid Oct weekend and there were activities for kids and adults. Additionally the Mill Bridge & Village really is worth a look as are the other structures on this historic location. And if it's Amish you want, you won't be able to count the buggies that travel past. If you don't mind walking on a moderately trafficked you can even walk to up to one of the better smorgasbord restaurants (Millers). We'd stay again.

Facilities are top notch. We stayed here four nights. There is far more to do in this region than we had time for - lots of history, geologic features, fishing, birds galore etc. The CG is about a mile off the highway so there is no noise. Tho there is no pool, swimming is available at Ana Reservoir about 1/4 mile away. This is a little oasis in the desert. The host was off site but responsive when needed. We'll be back.

As earlier visitors have noted this a non reservation CG but doesn't get the traffic on 395 to usually be a concern. Others have commented accurately on the amenities. Spring and Fall are great times to be here as Goose Lake is about 200 yards away and the air and water are full of migratory birds. Not a bad base to use to explore the region. Park has added some interior trails since we were here last.

This is a very clean, well groomed park that shows the owner's TLC. The husband and wife team (with their two dogs) made us (& our dog) feel at home. Spaces are wide enough apart that your outdoor living is comfortable. The grounds look as though the PGA tour could be played here. A word of caution - if you think you can roll thru here after checking the sights, you'd be wrong. Though we stayed 2 nites we could have stayed at least 2 more. There are too many things of interest to zip through. Put the drive (& the cities) on OR Hwy 19 on your list of side trips, as well as the Painted Hills and John Day Fossil Beds Nat. Monument.
